Camp of Dreams is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Colombian orphans to come and enjoy a fun filled week in a camp environment with new friends.
The children who participate in Camp of Dreams are older orphans who have uncertain futures. As they age, their chances of being adopted decrease significantly. By the age of 16 these orphans will lose all governmental and institutional aid – their dreams of finding a family begin to fade and they will be forced to care for themselves on the streets of Colombia. The mission of Camp of Dreams is to connect these children with the "forever families" that have been dreaming of them as well.
Camp of Dreams is held at the Ona Orth Ministry Center in Shoreview, MN. The center’s picturesque campus is nestled on the shores of Snail Lake - providing visitors with natural beauty and a peaceful surroundings. Together, with area families considering adoption, these children will share in a uniquely Minnesota camp experience that will include delicious foods, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor recreation - and much, much more.
